Raymond Collection Field Blend

The Raymond Collection's Field Blend is a testament to the art of blending, hailing from the sun-drenched vineyards of California. This red blend is characterized by its intriguing interplay of flavors, a result of expertly combining multiple grape varietals. Expect a full-bodied wine, where ripe blackberry and dark cherry notes merge seamlessly with subtle hints of spice and vanilla, likely imparted from judicious oak aging. The tannins are firm yet refined, providing structure without overwhelming the palate, while a balanced acidity keeps the wine lively and fresh. This blend's versatility makes it an ideal partner for diverse culinary experiences. Try it alongside a hearty beef stew, where its depth complements the savory richness, or pair it with a classic Margherita pizza to enhance the tomato's acidity and the mozzarella's creaminess. The wine's complexity also makes it well-suited to an assortment of cheeses, particularly aged cheddar or Gouda, which will highlight its nuanced flavors. For optimal enjoyment, serve this wine at a slightly cooler than room temperature, around 60-65°F. Allowing the wine to breathe for about 30 minutes in a decanter can further open up its bouquet and soften the tannins, enhancing your tasting experience. A wide-bowled glass will best capture its aromatic profile, directing the wine's inviting scents toward your senses. While this wine is ready to be enjoyed now, its structure suggests it may continue to develop in the bottle over the next few years, rewarding those with the patience to wait.
