Glendronach 18 Year Allardice

GlenDronach 18 Year Allardice is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Scotland, bottled at 46% ABV. This is the sherry-cask Allardice, not the GlenDronach Port Wood bottling, and shoppers looking for Port Wood can check the Scotch category. The deep sherry cask influence shows in dried fruit and gentle spice on the nose, with oak underneath. On the palate you get dark chocolate, plum and roasted nuts, and a long finish with a trace of cinnamon and soft leather. It suits being enjoyed neat, and a splash of water can open up the fruit and spice. Over ice it releases more as the ice melts, and its full body holds up in an Old Fashioned or a Rob Roy. You can shop it from CBC Liquors in Westford, with pickup or delivery.
