Redbreast Lustau

Redbreast Lustau Edition stands out as an exemplary Irish single pot still whiskey, distinguished by its luxurious finish in hand-selected Oloroso sherry casks from Bodegas Lustau. This finishing process infuses the spirit with layers of rich, complex flavors, a hallmark of Redbreast's collaboration with the renowned Spanish sherry producer. With an ABV of 46%, this expression promises a robust and captivating tasting experience. Expect a delightful symphony of flavors where the warm, nutty notes of the Oloroso sherry seamlessly blend with the intrinsic character of the whiskey. On the nose, you may detect hints of dried fruits and a subtle spice, while the palate reveals a tapestry of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and a whisper of sweet vanilla. The finish is lingering, smooth, and satisfying, leaving behind an elegant trace of sherry-infused richness. While this whiskey is versatile in its serving options, enjoying Redbreast Lustau Edition neat or with a splash of water allows its full spectrum of flavors to shine. For those who prefer a more chilled experience, serving over a single large ice cube in a rocks glass can open up the whiskey's notes in a gradual, mellow fashion. This whiskey also makes an excellent base for an upscale Old Fashioned, where its depth and richness elevate the classic cocktail. The use of a Glencairn glass is recommended for those who wish to savor the full aromatic profile of Redbreast Lustau. Its shape enhances the nosing experience, allowing you to fully appreciate the intricate aromas that define this exceptional whiskey. Whether you're an aficionado or a casual enthusiast, this whiskey offers a distinctive taste journey that is both authentic and rewarding.
