Crafted by the innovative minds at Burley Oak in Maryland, the JREAM Blueberry Strawberry Marshmallow is a standout in the world of sour beers. With an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 4.8%, this brew offers a uniquely refreshing take on the traditional sour style, making it a delightful choice for those who appreciate a fruity twist. The beer bursts with the vibrant flavors of ripe blueberries and sweet strawberries, artfully balanced with a subtle marshmallow sweetness that rounds out the tartness typical of beers in this category. Tasting this sour beer is like savoring a summer dessert in liquid form, with each sip revealing layers of juicy berry goodness and a creamy, mellow finish. This flavor profile makes it an excellent pairing with light, creamy cheeses such as brie or camembert, which complement its natural fruitiness. Additionally, its tart and sweet character pairs beautifully with dessert courses, particularly those featuring vanilla or white chocolate, enhancing the overall dining experience. For optimal enjoyment, serve this beer at a chilled temperature, around 45 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, which helps accentuate its refreshing fruit notes while maintaining the delicate balance of flavors. The ideal glassware for the JREAM Blueberry Strawberry Marshmallow is a tulip glass; its inward-tapering top captures the beer's aromatic nuances while allowing the vibrant colors to be showcased visually. Whether you are exploring the world of sour beers or are already a fan of fruited sours, this offering from Burley Oak promises a taste that is both familiar and delightfully novel, offering a satisfying sip for those looking to expand their palate with inventive flavor combinations.
