Description

Green Label 15 Year from JOHNNIE WALKER is a carefully crafted blended malt Scotch that showcases the nuanced artistry of whisky-making in the lush Speyside region. This spirit is composed exclusively of single malts, each aged for a minimum of 15 years, resulting in a harmonious array of flavors that distinguish it from its peers. The experience begins with a nose that subtly introduces rich oak, layered with whispers of fresh-cut grass and a hint of maritime breeze. As it envelops the palate, expect a symphony of orchard fruits mingling with notes of vanilla, mingling seamlessly with characteristic Speyside floral undertones and a touch of spice. Best savored neat to fully appreciate its intricate blend, the Green Label 15 Year also holds its own beautifully on the rocks, where a slight chill can coax forth hidden depths of flavor. A splash of water can further enhance its complexity, inviting you to explore the whisky's softer, more delicate notes without overwhelming the senses. While its balanced profile makes it a versatile spirit for cocktails, its true character shines through in classics like the Old Fashioned or a Manhattan, where it can impart depth without sacrificing its distinctive malt character. For those looking to appreciate its bouquet, a Glencairn glass is ideal, allowing for a concentrated nosing experience. When sipping, a traditional rocks glass will do justice to the rich tapestry of flavors. The Green Label 15 Year pairs elegantly with foods that complement its malt sweetness and subtle spice, such as smoked salmon or a mature cheddar. Each sip is a testament to JOHNNIE WALKER's commitment to crafting whisky with both tradition and innovation, offering a rich experience for the discerning palate.

Bottle barely lasted three weekends at our house. Everyone kept reaching for it over the others. That says enough.

Hard to beat Green Label when Im not in the mood for Lagavulin peat. Smooth with just a touch of smoke, goes easy after dinner.

    Response from CBC Liquors, Westford

Green really does land in a different spot from those Islay malts. If you want to try another blend, Monkey Shoulder is close but lighter.
