Speyburn Arranta Casks

Arranta Casks by Speyburn offers a distinctive encounter with Speyside whisky, marrying the classic elegance of the Highlands with robust intensity. This single malt Scotch is crafted in bespoke American oak ex-bourbon casks, a choice that imparts a particularly bold and spicy character to the spirit. At 46% ABV, it stands out with a confident profile that brings forth intriguing layers of flavor. Expect the ex-bourbon cask influence to lend notes of vanilla and a gentle oakiness, while the Speyside roots contribute a subtle sweetness, harmonizing with the whisky's inherent spiciness. Ideal for those who appreciate a whisky with a pronounced character, Arranta Casks can be enjoyed in various ways to suit different palates. Serving it neat allows the full spectrum of flavors to unfold gradually, offering an unadulterated tasting experience where you can explore its spicy and vanilla notes. Adding a splash of water can open up the whisky further, softening its edges and revealing more nuanced aromas. If you prefer a chilled sip, serving it on the rocks mellows the boldness, making it a refreshing option for leisurely evenings. Arranta Casks excels not only as a neat sipper but also as a foundation for classic whisky cocktails. Its robust profile holds its own in an Old Fashioned, adding depth and complexity, while its spicy undertones make for a remarkable Manhattan. For those seeking a simpler concoction, a Whisky Highball with a dash of soda highlights its refreshing qualities without overshadowing its inherent character. When it comes to glassware, a Glencairn glass is perfect for nosing, allowing the aromas to concentrate and offering a more immersive experience. For casual sipping or cocktails, a sturdy rocks glass is an excellent choice, providing a comfortable grip while enjoying this spirited Scotch. Whether you're revisiting the storied landscape of Speyside whiskies or embarking on a new journey, Arranta Casks promises a rich exploration of flavors grounded in its Highland heritage.
