Description
Ardmore by SIGNATORY embodies the quintessential essence of Highland Scotch, distinguished by its traditional peated character. With an ABV of 46.0%, this whisky offers an intriguing harmony of smokiness and sweetness, inviting exploration from both seasoned whisky aficionados and curious newcomers alike. Its profile is a tribute to the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into every bottle, showcasing the classic Highland balance that sits comfortably between earthiness and vibrant flavor. Expect a nose filled with gentle smoke intermingling with sweet nuances, reminiscent of heather and honey. As you take a sip, the peat smoke unfurls gracefully across the palate, supported by a delightful sweetness that suggests vanilla, wrapped in layers of oak and a hint of spice. This complexity makes it ideal for savoring neat, allowing every nuance to shine through. For those who prefer a softer experience, a splash of water opens up additional aromatic dimensions, while a few ice cubes in a rocks glass can mellow the intensity without compromising the depth of flavor. In terms of cocktails, Ardmore's character excels in classics like the Old Fashioned or a Smoky Manhattan, where its peaty backbone can stand up to bold flavors and enhance the overall depth of the drink. For a lighter touch, consider a Highball, where the effervescence can elevate its sweet and smoky notes. To fully appreciate its bouquet, a Glencairn glass is recommended for nosing, while a rocks glass is perfect for sipping, providing versatility in enjoyment. Ardmore by SIGNATORY is not just a whisky; it's a celebration of Highland heritage and craftsmanship, inviting you to discover its rich tapestry of flavors sip by sip.

Tried Ardmore at a friend's last month and finally tracked it down here. Still love the smoke, maybe just wish it packed a bit more punch. Solid pour.

Glad you came back for the Ardmore, if you want something with a little more kick, I can point out another bottle or two next time. - Tom

Picked this up instead of my usual Laphroaig and was not disappointed. Smoky but more mellow, goes great with a chilly evening and some sharp cheddar. Might be my new standby.
