Maison De Madeleine Silex Sancere

SILEX SANCERE by Maison De Madeleine is a remarkable Sauvignon Blanc hailing from the celebrated Loire Valley in France. This wine is a testament to the region’s distinctive silex soils, imparting a minerality that sets it apart. With an ABV of 12.5%, this wine presents a harmonious balance of crisp acidity and nuanced flavors that make it a distinguished choice for any enthusiast of fine white wines. Expect an elegant bouquet that combines fresh citrus notes with subtle green apple and hints of white peach. The palate is marked by its lively acidity, which enhances the wine's refreshing qualities while allowing the mineral undertones to shine through. The finish is clean and precise, leaving a lingering impression of flinty complexity that is both invigorating and memorable. For those wishing to experience SILEX SANCERE at its best, serve it chilled at around 45-50°F (7-10°C) to fully appreciate its vibrant character. This wine benefits from being opened shortly before serving, though extensive decanting is unnecessary. A slender white wine glass will enhance its aromatic profile, directing the fragrance towards the nose while maintaining the wine's crispness. SILEX SANCERE pairs beautifully with a wide array of dishes, particularly those that highlight fresh, bright flavors. Consider enjoying it alongside seafood dishes, such as grilled scallops or a classic goat cheese salad, to complement its natural acidity and minerality. While delightful now, this Sauvignon Blanc will reward those who choose to cellar it for a few years, allowing its complexity to develop further over time.
