Old Soul Pinot Noir

Old Soul Pinot Noir, originating from the sunlit vineyards of California, showcases the quintessential characteristics of this celebrated grape variety. With an ABV of 13.5%, this wine strikes a harmonious balance between fruit-forward notes and an inviting earthiness. Expect to encounter a medley of red berry flavors, such as ripe cherry and wild strawberry, complemented by hints of forest floor and subtle spice. The wine's body is medium, offering gentle tannins that provide structure without overwhelming the palate. Its acidity is crisp, enhancing the freshness of the fruit and ensuring a clean, lingering finish. Pinot Noir lovers will find this wine to be an excellent companion to a variety of dishes. Consider pairing it with roasted duck or chicken, where its fruitiness can play off the savory qualities of the meat. It also pairs beautifully with mushroom dishes, allowing the earthier notes of the wine to resonate with the umami flavors. A classic match with grilled salmon can also highlight the wine's versatile nature, offering a delicious balance of flavors without overpowering the delicate fish. For optimal enjoyment, serve Old Soul Pinot Noir at a temperature between 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. This slightly cooler serving temperature will accentuate its vibrant acidity and nuanced flavor profile. While decanting is not essential, allowing the wine to breathe for about 15 to 30 minutes can help to open up its layers. Choose a large-bowled glass to fully appreciate its aromatic complexity, allowing the wine ample space to reveal its bouquet. This Pinot Noir is crafted for those who appreciate an approachable yet refined wine, and while it is ready to drink now, a few years of cellaring could further enhance its depth and complexity. Whether shared over a meal or savored on its own, Old Soul Pinot Noir offers a taste of California's finest viticulture in every sip.
