Description
Cienega Valley Pinot Noir presents an intricate dance of flavors that speaks to its Californian roots. The cool, mist-laden mornings and sun-drenched afternoons of the Cienega Valley imbue this red with a vibrant yet understated complexity. Anticipate a balanced interplay of ripe cherry and blackberry, underscored by subtle earthy undertones. The wine's medium body is gracefully complemented by soft tannins and a lively acidity, creating a seamless harmony in each sip. Its finish is smooth and lingering, with whispers of vanilla and a gentle oak influence offering a satisfying close to the experience. To fully appreciate the nuances of this Pinot Noir, serve it at a slightly chilled temperature, around 55-60°F. This wine benefits from a brief decanting, allowing its intricate layers to unfold and reveal their full potential. Pour it into a Burgundy glass to concentrate the aromas and elevate the tasting experience. Cienega Valley's Pinot Noir is versatile at the table, making it an ideal companion for a wide range of dishes. Try pairing it with herb-crusted salmon, duck breast with a cherry reduction, or a wild mushroom risotto to enhance the wine's depth and echo its earthy notes. While this Pinot Noir is delightful to enjoy right away, it also possesses the structure and balance to develop further with time. With proper cellaring, it promises to evolve, offering even more complexity and depth in the coming years. Whether you're exploring it now or allowing it to age gracefully, this wine is a testament to the unique terroir of Cienega Valley and the artistry of its winemakers.

Decent pinot noir for under twelve bucks. Smooth, light and pretty easy drinking.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Glad you enjoyed this one. The Carneros pinot is similar if you're ever looking to change it up.

Was hoping for a bit more fruit but still solid with homemade pizza. A little earthy, which surprised me but I actually liked it by the second glass.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Cienega Valley Pinot has that earthiness for sure, next time try it with mushroom pasta, think youll like the combo.
