Description
Barrell Craft Mizunara Cask Bourbon is a Kentucky bourbon aged with Japanese Mizunara oak casks, available from CBC Liquors in Westford. Mizunara is a Japanese oak known for its porous grain, and here it brings sandalwood and a refined spice over warm vanilla and caramel, with corn sweetness and a touch of charred oak. Drink it neat or with a splash of water, or over a single large ice cube. It also suits an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan.
Customer reviews
Way different than my regular bourbons. Shared it after dinner with the neighbors, and people kept commenting on the wood flavor, could go for a bit more sweetness but definitely interesting.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Mizunara casks really give this one that extra kick. If you want a sweeter pour, try the Woodford Double Oaked next time. - Dan
