Description
Devils Tower High Rye by Redwood Empire stands out in the world of bourbons with its distinctive high rye content, a feature that brings an invigorating spice to its overall profile. Originating from the storied distilleries of Kentucky, this bourbon offers an intriguing blend of traditional sweetness balanced with a peppery finish. The subtle interplay between these flavors makes it an enticing choice for those who appreciate complexity in their glass. When it comes to enjoying Devils Tower High Rye, serving it neat is an excellent way to fully experience its layered character. A Glencairn glass is ideal for nosing the intricate aromas that this bourbon has to offer, allowing the spice and sweetness to tantalize your senses before they ever reach your palate. For a slightly mellowed experience, a splash of water can open up the bourbon's nuanced flavors, rounding out the spice while highlighting its inherent sweetness. For cocktail enthusiasts, Devils Tower High Rye shines in classic recipes that benefit from its bold attributes. It brings an extra depth to a Manhattan, where its peppery undertones complement the bitters and vermouth, creating a harmony of flavors. Similarly, its robust profile can elevate an Old Fashioned, where the interplay of sugar and bitters finds a perfect partner in this bourbon's spicy edge. Opt for a rocks glass when serving these cocktails to maintain the bourbon's essence while giving room for ice to gently chill the mixture. While Devils Tower High Rye is undoubtedly versatile, its unique flavor profile ensures that it never feels lost in a crowd of bourbons. Whether you’re savoring it neat, with a splash, or mixing it into a favorite cocktail, this bourbon offers a distinctive experience that both bourbon novices and seasoned aficionados will find rewarding.

Chili and cornbread night called for something bold and this hit perfectly. Really stands up to spicy food without getting lost.

Brought the Devils Tower over for poker night with my brother and some friends. Everybody liked the extra spice from the rye, but a couple of us thought it was a little too sharp neat. Better with an ice cube.
