Branco Colossal Reserva

Colossal Reserva, crafted by BRANCO, is a testament to the robust red blends emerging from Portugal's Lisboa region. With an assertive presence, this wine showcases an intricate tapestry of flavors, supported by a substantial 14% ABV. Expect a harmonious blend of ripe dark fruit flavors—think blackberries and plums—interwoven with subtle hints of spice and oak, attributed to its careful aging process. On the palate, the wine presents a full body with well-integrated tannins and a balanced acidity that provides a lingering, satisfying finish. When it comes to enhancing your dining experience, Colossal Reserva is an excellent companion to hearty dishes. Consider pairing it with grilled red meats, robust stews, or aged cheeses to complement its bold character. The wine's depth and complexity also make it a fitting partner for rich, savory dishes with layers of flavor. For the best tasting experience, serve Colossal Reserva slightly below room temperature, around 60-65°F. This allows the wine's nuanced flavors to fully express themselves. Although decanting is not essential, it can help open up the wine, especially in the first hour of serving. Use a large-bowled glass to capture the wine's aromatic profile and allow it to breathe. Colossal Reserva is crafted for early enjoyment but has the structure to evolve gracefully over the next few years, rewarding those who choose to cellar it. Enjoy this Portuguese gem now or tuck it away for a future occasion.
