Description
Rocca Chianti Classico is a red wine from Tuscany, Italy, made mainly from the Sangiovese grape and bottled at 13.0% ABV. It has a light to medium body with ripe and tart cherry, red berries, dried herbs and fresh acidity, and firm but approachable tannins. Brought two bottles of Rocca to Easter lunch and they disappeared quick. Old school Chianti taste but a little lighter, which actually helped since we had so many dishes out.

Always great when the wine disappears before the desserts come out! Try their Riserva next time if you want something a bit richer.
First had this at my cousin's in NY, then found it here and picked up a few more. Love the earthy finish on this one.
bit brighter and more tart than some other Chiantis. Had with pizza night, worked better with tomato sauce than plain cheese. Solid bottle for under ten bucks.
