Description
Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 57.5% ABV, available from CBC Liquors in Westford. It is made to mirror the bold whiskey of the 1920s, with caramelized sugar, dark chocolate, toasted oak and vanilla, followed by cinnamon and nutmeg spice. The finish is long and warm with a trace of char. Drink it neat or with a splash of water, or use it in a Manhattan, where its strength stands up to the vermouth and bitters.
Customer reviews
Tried it at a friends house and came back just for this. Packs a punch but not too harsh. Wish they sold bigger bottles.

Honestly surprised how good this is for thirty bucks. Had it neat after grilling burgers with my brother. Holds up against bottles twice the cost, easy.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Glad you found the 1920 a solid deal, nothing like a great pour after burgers. You might want to check out the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof next time if you like that style. - Dan
