Description
OEC Brewing's Yuzu Pilsner offers a refreshing foray into the world of easy-drinking beers with a novel twist. Hailing from Connecticut, this pilsner is crafted with a distinct infusion of yuzu, a citrus fruit that imparts a uniquely aromatic and tangy character to the brew. At a sessionable 5.2% ABV, this beer is crafted for those who appreciate a blend of traditional pilsner qualities with a zesty, contemporary flair. The crisp nature of this pilsner is complemented by the unmistakable brightness of yuzu, which lends a subtle tartness that pairs beautifully with the beer’s clean malt backbone. Despite an IBU of 0, the absence of bitterness does not detract from the complexity; instead, it enhances the refreshing quality that makes this beer an excellent choice for a variety of settings. While typical pilsners are known for their use of noble hops, this brew's focus remains steadfast on its citrus infusion, making it stand out in the crowded landscape of craft beers. To fully appreciate the nuanced flavors of the Yuzu Pilsner, serve it chilled at a temperature of about 40-45°F. A tall, slender pilsner glass will allow you to admire its clear, golden hue while concentrating the delicate aromas of yuzu that rise with every pour. Perfect for pairing with light and summery dishes, this beer complements grilled seafood, fresh salads, and tangy cheeses, enhancing their flavors without overpowering them. In summary, OEC Brewing's Yuzu Pilsner is a delightful twist on a classic style, offering a harmonious blend of crisp malt and vibrant citrus notes. Whether you're a seasoned beer enthusiast or a newcomer to the craft, this pilsner promises a refreshing experience that celebrates both tradition and innovation.

Rainy April afternoon beer. The citrus thing was nice at first but got a little much by the end of the can. Not bad, just not sure I'd grab it again.
Poured this with some shrimp tacos on Friday night. Light and citrusy, the yuzu stands out. Might go even better in warmer weather but solid match for spicy food.
