Description
Troegenator is a doppelbock from Tröegs Independent Brewing in Pennsylvania, at 8.2% ABV and 25 IBU. It follows the classic Bavarian doppelbock style with a dark mahogany pour, caramel and chocolate aromas, and notes of toasted bread, toffee and sweet dried fruit. The malt body is full and smooth, balanced by a gentle bitterness. Serve it a little warmer than a lager, around 50 to 55°F, in a tulip glass or a dimpled mug. CBC Liquors in Westford sells Troegenator in store, for pickup or for delivery.
Customer reviews
Fine but not my favorite style from Troegs. Just ok.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Thanks for giving Troegenator a shot. Maybe try Nugget Nectar if you want something hoppier.
Dangerous for a doppelbock, felt that 8% kick way more than I expected. Smooth though. Would grab again but definitely a sipper.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Troegenator sneaks up, that's for sure. For a lighter option next time, try the Troegs Sunshine Pils.
