It suits grilled meats, stews, lamb tagine or a meaty lasagna. Serve it slightly below room temperature, at around 60 to 65°F. CBC Liquors in Westford sells this wine in store, for pickup, by delivery or by shipping.
Customer reviews
Goes down smooth, not heavy or hot like some reds from Alentejo can be. Pretty crushable for a weeknight red.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Glad you found it smooth! Some people like their Portuguese reds bolder but this one's an easy sipper.
No complaints, just easy drinking and can't beat it at this price.
Potluck with neighbors, grabbed the Ciconia Touriga Nacional for something different. Went over well, pretty solid for pasta night. Maybe a touch on the lighter side but would buy again.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Always good to hear when the Ciconia gets people talking at dinner. If you want a bit more body next time, check out Esporao from the same region.
