Chicken Cock Straight Bourbon

Chicken Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a testament to enduring craftsmanship, hailing from the heart of bourbon country in Kentucky. With a rich lineage dating back to 1856, this bourbon has a storied past that includes being the favored pour at The Cotton Club during the Prohibition era. Its revival in 2012 by Grain & Barrel Spirits ensures that the spirit of this classic bourbon continues to thrive today. Expect a harmonious blend typical of fine Kentucky bourbons, where the warmth of charred oak meets the sweet undertones of vanilla and caramel. At 45% ABV, this bourbon delivers a robust yet smooth drinking experience. On the nose, it offers an inviting aroma of toasted grains, with hints of spice that foretell its lively character. The palate reveals layers of rich, oaky depth, accented by a touch of smoke that lingers in a balanced finish. For those who prefer to savor their bourbon neat, Chicken Cock's full-bodied flavor profile shines in its purest form. However, adding a splash of water or serving it on the rocks can subtly soften its edges, accentuating its sweet and spicy notes. This bourbon also makes an exceptional base for classic cocktails like a Manhattan or Old Fashioned, where its depth enhances every element of the drink. Whether in a Glencairn glass to fully appreciate its complex aromas or a rocks glass for a more relaxed savoring, Chicken Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon offers a taste of history with every sip. Enjoy its rich heritage and distinctive Kentucky spirit, and you'll find a bourbon that's as compelling as its storied past.
