Description
J HILLS Sonoma Chardonnay brings the essence of this renowned California wine region to your glass, offering a delightful interplay of lively fruit and understated oak characteristics. With an alcohol by volume of 13.5%, this Chardonnay encapsulates the refreshing qualities typical of Sonoma's cool-climate vineyards, creating a wine that is both invigorating and refined. Expect to experience a medley of bright citrus notes, perhaps a hint of green apple or ripe pear, harmoniously balanced with a whisper of oak, imparting a gentle creaminess to the palate. This vibrant Chardonnay pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, making it a versatile companion at the table. Consider matching it with buttery seafood, such as grilled scallops or lobster, to enhance the wine's subtle oak nuances. It also complements creamy pasta dishes or roasted chicken, where its crisp acidity can cut through rich flavors and refresh your palate with each sip. Serve this wine slightly chilled, ideally between 48 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit, to fully appreciate its aromatic complexity and balanced acidity. Pour it into a standard white wine glass to allow its aromas to unfold and its flavors to develop. While this Chardonnay can be enjoyed straight from the bottle without decanting, letting it breathe for a few minutes in the glass can sometimes encourage its subtle layers to emerge more prominently. Though delightful now, this wine is crafted for those special moments when you crave an immediate taste of Sonoma's vineyards. It does not rely on extended aging to reveal its charm, making it an excellent choice for immediate enjoyment. Whether shared with friends over a meal or savored on its own, J HILLS Sonoma Chardonnay offers a true expression of its regional heritage.

Way stronger than I expected at 13.5%. One glass hit me harder than my usual pinot grigio so heads up if you're sharing a bottle.
-
Solid everyday Chardonnay for under ten bucks. Been getting a bottle once a week and probably will keep going, fits any dinner honestly.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Thanks for coming back for the J HILLS, glad to hear it's your go-to now. You might like the Edna Valley chard too if you want to switch it up next time.

Usually not big on Sonoma chards but this one was a bit brighter than I figured. Not super oaky, lighter all around. Paired with grilled chicken and asparagus and it worked out better than I thought.
