Mermaid Small Batch Pink Gin

Mermaid Pink Gin is a captivating blend from the Isle of Wight Distillery, offering a delicate twist on traditional gin with its naturally pink hue. This small batch spirit showcases the fresh, local character of the Isle of Wight, crafted with locally foraged rock samphire and sun-ripened strawberries. The infusion of strawberries not only imparts its distinctive color but also adds a whisper of berry aroma and fruitiness, complementing the gin's classic juniper-forward profile and coastal botanical notes. On the palate, expect a harmonious balance where the sweetness of strawberries delicately enhances, rather than overpowers, the classic gin elements of juniper and citrus. The complexity of flavors makes this gin a versatile choice for a variety of cocktails. It shines in a refreshing Gin & Tonic, served in a balloon glass brimming with ice and garnished with a fresh strawberry or a twist of lemon to accentuate its fruity nuances. For those who appreciate a more robust drink, Mermaid Pink Gin lends itself beautifully to a Negroni, where its subtle fruitiness can add an unexpected layer to the traditional bitterness. For a more classic approach, try it in a Martini, where the gentle strawberry notes provide an understated twist to this iconic cocktail. Or, if you prefer something lighter, a Tom Collins with Mermaid Pink Gin offers a refreshing blend of sweet and tart, ideal for warmer days. Whichever your preference, serving this gin in a highball glass with plenty of ice and a sprig of fresh mint will elevate its aromatic profile, making each sip a delightful exploration of flavors.
