Gray Whale Gin

Gray Whale Gin is a distinctive Californian spirit that captures the essence of the Pacific coastline in every bottle. This gin celebrates the natural bounty along the migratory path of the California Gray Whale, cleverly weaving together botanicals that are hand-harvested and foraged from the land and sea. Expect a juniper-forward profile, as the aromatic berries from Big Sur provide a classic gin backbone, layered with the zesty brightness of limes, lemons, and oranges from Baja California. Sonoma Valley's fir tree needles infuse a unique, earthy resonance, while kombu sea kelp from the Mendocino Coast adds a subtle salinity, creating a beautifully complex palate. The refreshing notes of Santa Cruz mint and the creamy texture from Central Valley almonds round out the experience, offering a gin that is both vibrant and elegantly balanced. Perfectly suited for classic cocktails, Gray Whale Gin's bold yet smooth character excels in a Gin & Tonic, where its citrus and mint notes can truly shine. Serve it over plenty of ice in a highball glass, garnished with a sprig of fresh mint or a wedge of lime to accentuate its bright, refreshing qualities. For those who enjoy a more robust drink, a Negroni brings out its herbal and nutty nuances, offering a sophisticated twist on this traditional favorite. For a more delicate cocktail, a Martini showcases Gray Whale Gin's intricate layers, especially when served ice-cold in a chilled glass with a twist of lemon peel. To experience its full spectrum of flavors, try it in a Tom Collins, where the addition of soda allows the gin's botanicals to sparkle, topped with a slice of fresh citrus to enhance its coastal origins. Gray Whale Gin is a tribute to California's rich natural landscape, providing not just a spirit, but a sensory voyage that supports the preservation of oceanic treasures.
