Four Roses Single Barrel

Four Roses Single Barrel stands as a testament to the nuanced artistry of Kentucky bourbon production. Crafted with a high-rye mash bill—60% corn, 35% rye, and 5% malted barley—this bourbon is a celebration of bold flavors and refined balance. Bottled at a robust 50% ABV, it carries the hallmark intensity and distinctive character of a single-barrel selection. Intricate notes of ripe stone fruits emerge on the nose, courtesy of the delicate fruit yeast strain, weaving seamlessly with undertones of vanilla and a touch of spice that rye enthusiasts will appreciate. When served neat, Four Roses Single Barrel reveals layers of complexity, with each sip offering a progression of grain sweetness entwined with oaky richness and a subtle charred finish. For those who prefer a cooler sip, a single ice cube or a splash of water can gently mellow the bourbon, coaxing out its softer fruit and spice aromas without compromising its spirited core. This bourbon's versatility makes it a superb choice for classic cocktails as well; it transforms an Old Fashioned into a robust, aromatic delight and lends a sophisticated edge to a Manhattan. For genuine appreciation of this bourbon's aromatic depth, consider using a Glencairn glass, which enhances the nosing experience, allowing the intricate scents to unfold. Alternatively, to savor its inviting warmth over ice, a rocks glass will serve just as well. Whether you’re crafting a cocktail or enjoying it straight, Four Roses Single Barrel offers a rich tableau of flavors that invite exploration, perfect for those who seek a bourbon with both strength and subtlety.
