Frei Brothers Russian River Sauvignon Blanc

Frei Brothers Sauvignon Blanc, hailing from the esteemed Sonoma County in California, embodies the quintessential characteristics of this popular varietal. With an ABV of 13.5%, this wine showcases a delightful interplay of vibrant citrus notes, reminiscent of zesty lemon and ripe grapefruit, intertwined with subtly herbal undertones. The crisp acidity lends a refreshing edge, making it a bright and lively choice for those who appreciate a well-crafted white wine. In the glass, this Sauvignon Blanc is best served chilled to about 45-50°F. Such a temperature allows its lively flavors and aromas to shine, while its light to medium body remains invigorating. Although it is not essential to decant this wine, doing so can enhance its aromatic profile, allowing the subtle herbal nuances to further develop. A classic Sauvignon Blanc glass, with its narrower bowl, will help concentrate the aromas, enhancing your tasting experience. Pair this wine with dishes that complement its fresh character. Grilled seafood, such as shrimp or scallops, will harmonize beautifully with its citrus and herbal notes, while goat cheese salads with a hint of vinaigrette can provide a delightful contrast. If you're leaning towards Asian cuisine, try it with sushi or lightly spiced Thai dishes, where the wine's acidity can balance the richness and spice. Frei Brothers Sauvignon Blanc is crafted for immediate enjoyment, capturing the essence of its California terroir in every sip. While it is not designed for extended aging, its current expression is vibrant and inviting, making it a versatile choice for a variety of dining experiences.
