Redwood Empire Rocket Top Straight Rye

Rocket Top Straight Rye by REDWOOD EMPIRE is a remarkable offering from the heart of Kentucky, where rye whiskey traditions run deep. Crafted with an unwavering attention to detail, this straight rye whiskey showcases a robust profile that beautifully balances spice and sweetness, a hallmark of high-quality rye grains. The nose is greeted by enticing aromas that hint at freshly milled grains and the subtle warmth of spice, setting the stage for the rich tasting experience that follows. On the palate, Rocket Top reveals layers of complexity. Expect a pronounced spice character typical of rye, interwoven with notes of caramel and a gentle sweetness that rounds out the robust flavors. This distinctive interplay makes it an excellent candidate for those who appreciate the full-bodied nature of rye whiskey. Savor it neat to experience its unadulterated essence, or let it open up with a splash of water, which can soften the edges and enhance its nuanced flavors. For a more refreshing option, serving it on the rocks allows the gradual melding of its bold character with the cooling influence of the ice, creating a smooth sipping experience. When it comes to cocktails, Rocket Top Straight Rye shines in classics that allow its spicy backbone to take center stage. Consider it for a Manhattan, where its complexity can stand up to the bitters and vermouth, or an Old Fashioned, which highlights its inherent sweetness. Its versatility extends to a Whiskey Sour as well, lending depth and character to this refreshing mix. For glassware, a Glencairn glass is perfect for nosing, allowing the aromas to concentrate and reveal themselves fully, while a rocks glass is ideal for sipping, whether neat or with ice. Rocket Top Straight Rye invites whiskey enthusiasts to explore a spirit that is both richly traditional and distinctly its own. Its bold character and balanced profile make it a standout choice in any whiskey lover’s collection, offering a taste of Kentucky’s storied rye legacy in each pour.
