Description
Raison D'Extra is a Belgian-style strong dark ale from Dogfish Head in Delaware, brewed at 18% ABV. A hearty malt backbone is sweetened with brown sugar and raisins, giving layers of dark fruit, caramel and subtle spice in a full-bodied beer. Serve it a little warmer than most beers, at 50 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit, in a tulip glass, and pair it with beef stew or braised lamb. You can buy Dogfish Head Raison D'Extra from CBC Liquors in Westford, in store, for pickup or for delivery.
Customer reviews
Goes down surprisingly smooth for 18 percent but the warmth hits quick. Not an everyday brew.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
That extra kick in Raison D'Extra sneaks up on people! If you want something strong but a bit lighter next time, check out World Wide Stout.
Thought it was going to be a sugar bomb but it's actually deep and a little boozy, almost like dessert wine. Sipped slow on a cold night, lasted me ages.
