Description
SCOTTO's Malbec, hailing from the renowned Lodi region of Argentina, embodies the quintessential characteristics of this beloved varietal. Expect a vibrant display of rich berry flavors, a hallmark of Malbec wines. These luscious fruit notes are complemented by a subtle hint of spice, which adds depth and complexity to the wine's profile. With an ABV of 13%, this wine offers a balanced body that is neither too light nor overwhelmingly bold, making it an accessible choice for both seasoned wine enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The tannins in this Malbec are elegantly smooth, providing a silky mouthfeel that enhances its drinkability. Acidity levels are well-calibrated, offering a refreshing finish that lingers pleasantly on the palate without overpowering the senses. While oak influence is not overt, there are gentle undertones that suggest a delicate aging process, which adds to the wine's refined character. Best served at a temperature of 60–65°F (15–18°C), SCOTTO's Malbec benefits from a brief decanting period of about 20–30 minutes to allow its flavors to fully open up. It is ideally poured into a traditional red wine glass, which will highlight its aromatic profile and allow for optimal enjoyment. Food pairings for this Malbec are as versatile as the wine itself. It pairs beautifully with grilled meats, such as a juicy steak or lamb chops, and complements hearty pasta dishes with rich tomato-based sauces. For a vegetarian option, consider pairing it with a robust mushroom risotto. While this Malbec is ready to be enjoyed now, its structure suggests it could also benefit from a few years of aging, allowing the nuances of its flavor to further develop.
Customer reviews
wish it came in a bigger bottle honestly. Brought it to taco night and we ran out before the last round of steak quesadillas. Nice one though.
Didnt feel super strong at first but man, two glasses in and I really felt it. Solid with burgers off the grill.

Malbec can sneak up on you for sure. Try the Catena next time if you want something with a little more heft.
Usually reach for Alamos Malbec but gave this SCOTTO a go and was not disappointed. Still big on fruit, just a bit softer. Makes weeknight dinners way better.
