Amrut Indian Single Malt

Amrut Indian Single Malt is an intriguing expression crafted from malted barley sourced directly from India, a locale not traditionally associated with single malt whiskies. Distilled in the warm climate of Bengaluru, this whiskey reflects a distinct regional character, setting it apart from its Scottish and Irish counterparts. Matured in oak casks, it emits a harmonious melody of grain and oak, weaving together a nuanced tapestry that invites exploration. On the palate, expect a compelling dance between the subtle sweetness of vanilla and gentle spice, a profile typical to whiskies matured in such conditions. The alcohol by volume at 46% reveals the spirit's robust body, providing an effervescent mouthfeel that can be accentuated when served neat. For those who prefer a slightly more tempered experience, adding a splash of water can open up further dimensions of flavor, softly unfurling the complexities within. When considering cocktail applications, Amrut Indian Single Malt can serve as an elegant base for a sophisticated Old Fashioned, allowing its unique profile to shine through with minimal embellishment. Alternatively, a Whiskey Sour could highlight its sweet and spicy notes, infusing the classic cocktail with an exotic twist. Sipped from a Glencairn glass, its aromas are best appreciated neat, while a rocks glass can complement its presence when served with ice. Ideal for both the adventurous connoisseur and those new to the world of single malts, this whiskey invites discovery beyond familiar borders, offering a tasting experience that is distinctly its own.
