Description
Val-Dieu Grand Cru is a 10.5% ABV Belgian strong dark ale brewed at Val-Dieu Abbey in Aubel, Belgium, often called a Belgian quadrupel. It is full-bodied, with caramel, malt richness, dark fruit, toasted malt and a touch of chocolate, balanced by moderate bitterness. Serve it at 50 to 55°F in a tulip glass to bring out its aromas. Tried my first bottle of Grand Cru on the porch after dinner. Real strong, more warming than I thought, not exactly a summer beer but solid for a chilly night.
