Alexander Vineyard Estate Cabernet Franc

Estate Cabernet Franc from Alexander Vineyard is a testament to the unique terroir of its California origins. This expressive red wine, crafted by the renowned Alexander Vineyard, boasts a sophisticated profile that captures the essence of the Cabernet Franc grape. Expect an inviting bouquet of ripe red berries and subtle herbal notes, underscored by a whisper of spice that adds depth to each glass. On the palate, the wine delivers a medium-bodied experience, characterized by supple tannins and a refreshing acidity that enlivens the senses. The vibrant fruit flavors are complemented by a hint of oak, a result of careful aging, which provides a gentle complexity to the overall structure. This wine finishes with a lingering grace, leaving a refined impression that invites another sip. For those aiming to elevate their meal pairings, this Estate Cabernet Franc shines alongside roasted poultry, grilled lamb, or a hearty mushroom risotto, where its nuanced flavors enhance and harmonize with the dish. Serve it at a slightly cooler room temperature, around 60-65°F, to fully appreciate its intricate layers. While decanting is not strictly necessary, allowing the wine to breathe for about 30 minutes can further reveal its subtle complexity. When serving, opt for a standard red wine glass to best showcase the aromatic profile and ensure an optimal tasting experience. Though this wine is delightful to enjoy now, it also possesses the potential to develop gracefully with a few years of cellaring, offering an evolving taste journey for those with the patience to wait.
