Description

Unveiling the quintessential Belgian beer experience, Cuvee Des Trolls hails from the esteemed Dubuisson Brewery in Wallonia, Belgium. This Belgian-style ale boasts an inviting 7% ABV, delivering a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation in every bottle. Expect a gentle bitterness, with an IBU of 19, that complements its nuanced flavor profile, making it an intriguing choice for those who appreciate the classic Belgian brewing heritage. Cuvee Des Trolls is characterized by its golden hue and a frothy, persistent head, releasing aromas that hint at the subtle interplay of fruity esters and spice, a hallmark of Belgian yeast. The palate is welcomed by a delicate dance of subtle sweetness and a refreshing dry finish, typical of the style, with notes of apple, pear, and a hint of coriander. This delightful balance makes it a versatile companion to a variety of dishes. To fully appreciate Cuvee Des Trolls, serve it at a temperature of 45-50°F, ideally in a tulip glass to capture its enticing aromas and maintain its generous head. This beer pairs exquisitely with dishes that highlight its complex flavors; consider enjoying it alongside a creamy brie, roasted chicken with herbs, or seafood dishes such as mussels in a garlic butter sauce. Its delicate sweetness also complements the subtle spice of Thai cuisine or contrasts beautifully with the sharpness of a blue cheese. Whether you're exploring Belgian beer for the first time or are a seasoned aficionado, Cuvee Des Trolls presents an authentic taste of Dubuisson’s rich brewing legacy. Its balance of flavor and elegance offers a delightful exploration of Belgian beer tradition, making it an enduring choice for both casual sipping and culinary pairing.

Out of the bottle into a tulip glass, chilled. Nice Belgian vibe but just a touch sweet for me after one. Would definitely pick it up again though for something a little different.

Smart move on the tulip glass, lets those Dubuisson brews open up. Next time, try their Bush Amber if you want a bit less sweetness. - Dan
