Thirteenth Colony Cask Strength Rye

Thirteenth Colony Cask Strength Rye is a bold testament to American craftsmanship, hailing from the rolling landscapes of Georgia. This cask-strength rye stands at an impressive 56.1% ABV, capturing the raw spirit and essence of its high rye mash bill. Bottled straight from the barrel without chill filtration, it retains the full-bodied character and complex flavors that rye aficionados crave. Expect a robust profile where the spicy warmth of rye grain takes center stage, accented by layers of deep oak, subtle char, and whispers of vanilla sweetness. Serving this rye is a celebration of its unbridled intensity and finesse. For those who appreciate the untamed nature of cask-strength whiskey, savoring it neat in a Glencairn glass allows for a focused nosing experience, revealing its intricate layers and aromatic subtleties. If you're inclined to moderate its intensity, a splash of water or a single ice cube can help open up the flavors, revealing hidden nuances and enhancing its smoothness. While its bold character shines brightly on its own, Thirteenth Colony Cask Strength Rye also lends itself beautifully to classic cocktails. Its spicy kick and rich depth make it an excellent choice for a robust Old Fashioned, where its rye spice complements the bitters and sugar perfectly. It also elevates the complexity of a Manhattan, marrying harmoniously with sweet vermouth and bitters to create a balanced, yet powerful cocktail. Whether you choose to sip it neat or craft a timeless cocktail, Thirteenth Colony Cask Strength Rye is a distinctive addition to any whiskey collection, showcasing the spirited heart of Georgia rye whiskey.
