Evan Williams Bottled In Bond

Evan Williams Bottled in Bond Bourbon stands as a testament to the traditions of American whiskey craftsmanship. Hailing from Kentucky, this bourbon is crafted under the stringent guidelines of the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, ensuring it is aged for at least four years and bottled at exactly 100 proof (50% ABV). The result is a whiskey that embodies robust character with a harmonious balance of elements typical of a fine bourbon. Expect a nose rich with aromas of sweet corn and vanilla, intertwined with subtle notes of toasted oak. On the palate, the bourbon reveals layers of caramel and honey, each sip offering a warm, spicy undercurrent that fans of rye will appreciate. The finish is long and smooth, leaving a lingering whisper of charred wood and a hint of peppery spice, characteristic of its Kentucky heritage. For the purists, Evan Williams Bottled in Bond is best enjoyed neat in a Glencairn glass, which highlights its aromatic complexity. If you prefer a slightly mellowed profile, try it over a single large ice cube in a rocks glass, which opens up the whiskey, enhancing its natural sweetness and spicy notes. A splash of water can also reveal hidden depths, making each sip a discovery. When it comes to cocktails, this bourbon is a versatile choice. Its bold flavors stand up beautifully in a classic Old Fashioned, offering a rich foundation that pairs well with bitters and a touch of sugar. It also shines in a Manhattan, where its spicy grain notes complement the herbal sweetness of vermouth. Whether you're a seasoned whiskey enthusiast or just beginning to explore bourbons, Evan Williams Bottled in Bond offers a reliable and flavorful experience.
