Hof Ten Dormaal Barbera

Hailing from the heart of Flemish Brabant, Hof Ten Dormaal's Barbera is an intriguing addition to the world of Belgian-style beers. This 8.0% ABV brew is crafted with the unique infusion of Barbera grapes, offering a pleasant divergence from traditional beer profiles. Its IBU of 20 suggests a subtle bitterness, allowing the rich malt underpinnings and vibrant fruit notes from the grapes to shine through. Expect a balanced interplay of sweetness and tartness, with the grape character imparting a wine-like depth to the experience. Barbera's multifaceted flavor profile makes it an excellent companion to a variety of culinary delights. It pairs beautifully with hearty dishes such as roasted duck or lamb, where its fruity notes can complement the savory richness of the meat. Alternatively, consider pairing it with a creamy cheese platter, where its acidity can cut through the richness, enhancing both the beer and the food. The beer's balance of flavors also makes it a suitable match for wood-fired pizzas topped with cured meats or figs. To fully appreciate Barbera's nuanced character, serve it at a cool 50 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. This temperature range allows the complexity of the malt and fruit notes to be fully expressed without overpowering the palate. For the best presentation and taste experience, pour Barbera into a tulip glass. The glass's shape is ideal for concentrating the aromas at the top, allowing you to savor the full aromatic spectrum of this Belgian gem. Whether you're exploring the depths of its flavors or simply enjoying a refined beer experience, Hof Ten Dormaal's Barbera offers a unique and delightful journey in every glass.
