Rd One Amburana Bourbon

Embark on a truly distinct whiskey experience with Amburana Bourbon by RD ONE, a Kentucky original that breaks away from the usual bourbon mold. Its secret lies in the innovative use of amburana wood barrels for aging, a choice that infuses this bourbon with an exotic complexity. While traditional American oak imparts the classic notes of vanilla and caramel, the amburana wood adds layers of spice and a subtle sweetness reminiscent of cinnamon and toasted nuts. This whiskey’s 45% ABV further refines these bold flavors, delivering a robust yet smooth character. The tasting journey of Amburana Bourbon is best appreciated when sipped neat or with a splash of water, which opens up its intricate profile and accentuates the nuanced warmth of the wood’s influence. For those who prefer a bit of chill, serving it on the rocks can add a refreshing touch while mellowing its spicier edges. This bourbon also shines in classic whiskey cocktails, particularly a Manhattan, where its unique wood spice beautifully complements the sweet vermouth and bitters. An Old Fashioned is another excellent choice, offering a perfect canvas to experience its rich and exotic undertones. When it comes to glassware, a Glencairn glass is ideal for nosing and appreciating the full aroma of this distinctive bourbon, offering a sensory prelude to its flavorful complexity. For a more relaxed sipping session, a traditional rocks glass suits its robust character well. This is a bourbon that engages the palate in unexpected ways, standing out not just for its innovative aging process but for the unique expressions it brings to both casual and crafted whiskey experiences.
