Flor De Cana 18 Year Rum

Flor de Caña 18 Year Rum is a distinguished Nicaraguan spirit, crafted with precision and patience, evident in its remarkable 18-year maturation process. This rum exudes a deep, amber hue, a testament to its long aging in bourbon barrels. True to its heritage, it remains unadulterated, free from added sugars or artificial additives, preserving the purity of its full-bodied character and complexity. At 40% ABV, it delivers a robust yet smooth experience, embodying the essence of traditional rum-making at its finest. Upon nosing, expect an enticing bouquet of toasted nuts and caramel, subtly intertwined with hints of vanilla and dark chocolate. The palate is equally rewarding, offering rich layers of toffee, oak, and dried fruits, punctuated by a delicate smokiness. Each sip finishes with a lingering warmth, showcasing the sophisticated balance one would anticipate from an ultra-premium rum of this age. While Flor de Caña 18 Year Rum can elevate any cocktail, its nuanced profile truly shines when sipped neat or with a single ice cube in a classic rocks glass, allowing the layers of flavor to unfold gradually. For those inclined to mix, it lends itself well to a refined Rum Old Fashioned, where its depth can be appreciated with a simple twist of orange zest. Whether enjoyed solo or as a luxurious component of a cocktail, this rum offers an unforgettable experience for discerning palates.
