About Cognac

Cognac is a brandy made from grapes in the Cognac region of France, distilled twice and aged in oak. It is a liquor people sip neat or use in cocktails. Age grades guide the choice: VS is the youngest and brightest, VSOP is aged longer for more depth, and XO is aged longest and richest. The shelf also has brandy and apple brandy for those who want something less formal. Makers include Courvoisier, Martell, Dussee, Lairds, Christian Brothers, E&J, Short Path and Harcourt. You can buy cognac in Westford at CBC Liquors in store, or through pickup, delivery or shipping.
