Boulevard Wood Baron

Wood Baron from BOULEVARD is a richly crafted specialty beer that showcases the artistry of barrel aging alongside traditional brewing methods. Hailing from Missouri, this beer boasts an impressive 10.5% ABV, offering a robust yet refined drinking experience. Its complexity arises from the careful integration of rich malt flavors with delicate oak nuances, which impart a subtle depth to each sip. With an IBU of 30, expect a moderate bitterness that complements the beer's malt-forward profile without overpowering its gentle barrel-aged characteristics. To fully appreciate Wood Baron's intricate flavors, serving it at a temperature of 50-55°F is recommended. This allows the oak notes and malt sweetness to open up, revealing the beer's full spectrum of flavors. The best glassware choice for this beer would be a tulip glass, which helps concentrate its aromas while providing ample room for the beer's head to develop, enhancing both the visual and olfactory experience. Food pairings for Wood Baron should ideally match its rich, layered profile. Consider enjoying it with hearty dishes like roasted meats or a rich beef stew, where the beer's malt character can complement the savory depth of the meal. Alternatively, it pairs well with aged cheeses, where its oak-infused nuances can play off the cheese's complex flavors. Whether paired with food or savored on its own, Wood Baron offers an indulgent exploration of beer craftsmanship, perfect for those who appreciate the nuanced interplay between tradition and innovation.
