Epigram Temptation

Temptation" by Epigram is a New England IPA that captures the essence of its style with a harmonious blend of tropical and citrusy notes. Known for its hazy appearance, this beer is an aromatic delight, offering lush whiffs of ripe pineapple, mango, and a hint of zesty grapefruit. The smooth mouthfeel is complemented by a well-balanced bitterness, typical of an IPA, yet softened by the juicy hop profile that New England IPAs are celebrated for. Although the exact ABV and IBU are not specified, you can expect a moderate alcohol content with a gently assertive hop presence. To fully appreciate its nuanced flavors, serve this IPA at a temperature between 45°F and 50°F. This range allows the delicate fruit nuances to shine while maintaining a refreshing crispness. Pouring into a tulip glass or a specialized IPA glass will help concentrate the aroma, enhancing the overall tasting experience. The shape of these glasses supports the retention of the beer's head, which is crucial for maintaining its aromatic profile. When it comes to food pairings, "Temptation" offers versatility. Its fruity and hoppy nature makes it an excellent companion to spicy dishes, such as Thai curry or buffalo wings, where the beer's citrusy brightness can counterbalance the heat. For a milder pairing, consider a rich mac and cheese or a tangy goat cheese salad, both of which can complement the beer's creamy texture and tangy notes. Whether paired with a meal or enjoyed on its own, this New England IPA provides an engaging sensory experience that reflects the innovative spirit of Epigram's brewing craftsmanship.
