Description
Surprise Mother Puppers from RAR Brewing introduces a refreshing twist to the IPA scene. Hailing from the scenic Chesapeake Bay area in Cambridge, Maryland, this Specialty IPA distinguishes itself with an approachable 5% ABV and a notably low bitterness profile, characterized by an IBU of zero. This unique combination makes it ideal for those who appreciate the aromatic qualities of an IPA without the intense bitterness often associated with the style. With every pour, Surprise Mother Puppers exhibits a vibrant golden hue, inviting drinkers to explore its aromatic layers. Expect a bouquet that leans heavily on citrus and tropical fruit notes, likely accompanied by subtle hints of floral aromas, typical of innovative IPAs in this category. The absence of bitterness allows the malt character to shine through, creating a balanced and smooth mouthfeel that caters to both IPA enthusiasts and those new to the genre. When it comes to serving, Surprise Mother Puppers is best enjoyed at a slightly chilled temperature, around 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit, to accentuate its delicate flavors and aromas. A tulip or IPA glass is recommended to fully appreciate its aromatic complexity and to provide the optimal space for the head to develop, enhancing the sensory experience. Pair this Specialty IPA with foods that can complement its fruit-forward profile. It pairs well with spicy dishes, such as Thai or Mexican cuisine, where the beer's citrus notes can balance out the heat. Additionally, it works beautifully with grilled seafood, allowing the subtleties of both the beer and dish to shine. With its unique characteristics, Surprise Mother Puppers offers a fresh take on the IPA style, making it a noteworthy experience for curious palates.

Had a few cans with my brother-in-law by the firepit. We both liked that it wasnt too heavy, just a little citrus to it.
Solid hazy IPA, crushable and just the right strength for an afternoon outside. Can definitely see myself getting this again.
