Bent Water Sluice Juice

Sluice Juice by Bent Water is a quintessential New England IPA that captures the true essence of this popular style. Hailing from Massachusetts, this beer presents a hazy appearance that hints at the tropical fruit symphony waiting inside. With an ABV of 6.5% and an IBU of 50, it balances a moderate bitterness with a burst of juicy flavors that IPA enthusiasts will appreciate. In each sip, expect an enticing blend of tropical fruit notes, reminiscent of ripe mangoes and citrus fruits, which are beautifully complemented by the beer's smooth, creamy texture. While the prominent hop character delivers its expected punch, the overall profile remains approachable, with a gentle bitterness that doesn't overpower the palate. This makes Sluice Juice a delightful choice for those who enjoy the complexity of a well-crafted IPA without an overwhelming hop intensity. For an optimal tasting experience, serve Sluice Juice at a slightly chilled temperature, around 45-50°F. This allows its vibrant flavors to fully develop as it warms slightly in the glass. A tulip glass or a traditional IPA glass is recommended to enhance the aromatic profile and capture the beer's haze, ensuring you savor every nuance of its tropical bouquet. Pair this New England IPA with dishes that can stand up to its flavors without overshadowing them. Spicy grilled shrimp, tangy barbecue chicken, or a hearty cheese platter featuring sharp cheddar or aged gouda will complement Sluice Juice's fruity and smooth qualities. Whether you're enjoying it alongside a meal or as a standalone delight, this beer offers a refreshing taste of New England craftsmanship in every pour.
