Martha Rouge

ROUGE by MARTHA is a captivating brew that hails from the storied region of Flanders, Belgium, where the art of beer crafting is a revered tradition. This dark amber beer, with an ABV of 6.5% and an IBU of 20, presents a harmonious balance between malt sweetness and subtle hop bitterness, typical of its style. Its deep, russet hue hints at the layers of flavor waiting to be discovered. The initial sip reveals notes that are reminiscent of baked bread and caramel, accompanied by a gentle nuttiness that enriches its smooth profile. This beer pairs exceptionally well with dishes that can stand up to its robust character. Consider enjoying it alongside a hearty beef stew or a platter of aged cheeses, where its malt-forward profile will complement the rich umami flavors. Additionally, the slight bitterness can cut through the richness of roasted meats, making it a versatile choice for various culinary experiences. For optimal enjoyment, serve ROUGE at a temperature between 45°F and 50°F. This allows the complex flavors to fully express themselves without being overshadowed by chill. A tulip glass is the recommended vessel, as its shape captures the aromatic qualities of the brew, enhancing the drinking experience by directing the aromas to the nose and allowing for a fuller appreciation of the beer's nuanced profile. Whether you're exploring the depths of Flanders' brewing tradition or simply seeking an amber beer that offers depth and character, ROUGE by MARTHA promises a palate-pleasing adventure worthy of its Belgian heritage.
