Decoy Rose

Decoy Rosé from California embodies the lively spirit of its sun-kissed vineyards, delivering a wine that is both refreshing and approachable. With an ABV of 13.5%, this rosé captures the essence of ripe fruit balanced by a pleasing acidity. Typically, wines in this style exhibit notes of fresh berries and hints of citrus, complemented by a light, crisp texture that makes them perfect for warm weather enjoyment. Ideal for serving chilled at around 50-55°F, Decoy Rosé reveals its vibrant character when poured into a stemmed glass, allowing its delicate aromas to be fully appreciated. While this wine doesn't require decanting, letting it breathe briefly after opening can enhance its bouquet, bringing forward the subtle and expected nuances of red fruit and floral undertones. Pair this rosé with a variety of light dishes; it complements the flavors of a summer salad with goat cheese, grilled shrimp skewers, or a charcuterie board brimming with prosciutto and mild cheeses. Its balanced profile also makes it a delightful companion to spicy cuisine, as the acidity can counteract heat while enhancing the dish's flavors. While Decoy Rosé is crafted to be enjoyed immediately, its structure suggests it could hold for a short period if stored properly. However, its bright and refreshing nature truly shines when savored in the present, offering a taste of California sunshine in every glass.
