Description
RAPAURA SPRING's Reserve Pinot Noir hails from the renowned vineyards of Marlborough, New Zealand, a region celebrated for its vibrant and expressive Pinot Noirs. This wine is a testament to the area's unique terroir, encapsulating the lush, sun-kissed berries and a gentle hint of spice that are typical of the locale. With an alcohol volume of 13.5%, it strikes a balance between intensity and elegance, showcasing the grape’s natural complexity. Upon the first pour, expect a vivid bouquet brimming with ripe red berries, complemented by subtle whispers of spice and earthiness. On the palate, the wine unfolds with medium body and a silky texture, its tannins are refined yet present, providing structure without overwhelming the senses. The acidity is well-integrated, offering a freshness that accentuates the fruit-forward character and leads to a lingering, clean finish. This Reserve Pinot Noir is best enjoyed slightly chilled, ideally between 55 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit, to highlight its delicate aromas and flavors. A decanting period of about 30 minutes is beneficial, allowing the wine to fully open up and reveal its nuanced layers. Serve it in a classic Pinot Noir glass to best capture its aromatic complexity. For an unforgettable dining experience, pair this wine with dishes that complement its vibrant profile. Roast duck or grilled salmon will beautifully echo the wine’s berry notes, while a mushroom risotto can enhance its earthy undertones. Whether enjoyed now or cellared for a few years to develop further depth, RAPAURA SPRING's Reserve Pinot Noir promises a captivating and authentic Marlborough wine experience.

Gone way too quick at Sunday lunch. Easy drinker and everyone asked for another pour.

Chilly night in, this hit just right after dinner. Feels more like an autumn wine to me but worked fine in spring too.

I was thinking it might be heavier but turned out lighter than some pinots I've had. Not a bad surprise though, just wish it held up a little better with the meatloaf.
Store response
That pinot definitely leans lighter. For something richer next time, you could try a malbec or syrah.
