Crafted by AVION, this spirit begins its journey with agaves handpicked after 7 to 10 years of maturation. The agaves are thoughtfully roasted for 72 hours in brick ovens, allowing their natural sugars to caramelize and develop a deep complexity. This meticulous preparation sets the stage for a tequila of exceptional character. The distillation process is followed by Avión's distinctive ultra-slow filtration, enhancing the purity and smoothness of the spirit. Reserva 44 is then aged for 44 months, starting with 43 months in grand oak barrels to develop a robust and layered profile. The final phase involves an innovative aging technique in petite barrels, rotated daily during the last month, which imparts nuanced flavors and a refined texture. The result is a tequila with a luxurious interplay of rich oak, vanilla, and caramel, complemented by subtle hints of roasted agave and spice.
