Description
Queens Share Rum by Privateer is a unique expression that showcases the bold character of Massachusetts rum craftsmanship. Bottled at cask strength and boasting an impressive 55.0% ABV, this rum is a testament to the innovative work of Master Distiller Maggie Campbell. Drawing on her expertise from the legendary Germain-Robin Distillery, Campbell has created a product that stands out for its meticulous production process and rich flavor. What sets Queens Share apart is its origin as a redistillation of the "tails" cuts from previous distillation runs. This method imparts a distinctive depth and complexity, further enhanced by its aging in American oak for just over three years. The result is a robust rum that presents an array of flavors, often featuring notes typical of this style such as caramel, vanilla, and subtle spice, creating a delightful harmony on the palate. Each cask being unique means that every bottle offers a slightly different tasting experience, adding an element of surprise with each pour. While Queens Share Rum is ideally savored neat or with a splash of water to fully appreciate its cask strength intensity, it also shines as a sipper in more sophisticated rum cocktails. It elevates a Rum Old Fashioned with its layered complexity and can stand up boldly in a Mai Tai, adding depth and character. Serve it in a classic rocks glass to allow its rich aromas to unfold, complementing the deep flavors with every sip. Whether you're a rum enthusiast or a newcomer eager to explore, Queens Share offers a genuine taste of craftsmanship that invites exploration. Its robust profile makes it an excellent pairing for smoked meats or dark chocolate desserts, enhancing both the rum and the dish in a seamless culinary experience.

Huge fan. Real depth here.

Tried it neat with a couple friends who geek out about rum. Packs a punch but not harsh, just a little too strong for my partner's taste. Interesting stuff though, different from anything else we had that night.
