Southern Tier Pumking

PUMKING from Southern Tier Brewing Company is a distinguished seasonal pumpkin ale that stands out with its bold, distinctive character. Crafted in the heart of New York, this ale boasts an impressive 8.6% ABV, providing a warming finish that complements its rich malt backbone. The beer's moderate IBU of 30 suggests a subtle bitterness, which is perfectly balanced by its robust pumpkin pie essence, making each sip a flavorful experience. The aromatic profile of PUMKING is reminiscent of a freshly baked pumpkin pie, with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove swirling amidst the deep maltiness. This beer is an ideal companion for autumnal gatherings, its flavors harmonizing beautifully with roasted turkey, butternut squash soup, and spiced desserts like gingerbread or pumpkin cheesecake. For a true taste of seasonal delight, pair it with dishes that feature similar warm spices to enhance the ale's complex character. For optimal enjoyment, serve PUMKING slightly chilled at around 50°F to 55°F. This temperature allows its rich flavors and aromas to fully develop. A tulip glass is recommended for its ability to capture and concentrate the beer's aromatic qualities while also showcasing its vibrant amber hue. Whether you're savoring it alongside a festive meal or enjoying it as a standalone treat, PUMKING is a testament to the art of blending traditional brewing with seasonal flair.
