Cambria Pinot Noir

Cambria's Pinot Noir is a distinguished example of the expressive wines emerging from California's Santa Maria Valley. This region lends its unique terroir to the wine, resulting in a nuanced bouquet of aromas and flavors. Expect a bright tapestry of red fruit notes—think ripe cherry and raspberry—interwoven with a whisper of spice that adds depth to each sip. The wine's body is medium, offering an elegant balance between structure and finesse, while its tannins are soft and well-integrated, making it approachable yet intriguing. With an ABV of 13.5%, it has a refreshing acidity that lifts the palate and encourages another taste. To appreciate the full character of this Pinot Noir, serve it at a slightly chilled temperature of about 55°F. Allowing the wine to breathe for 15 to 30 minutes after pouring can further enhance its aromatic profile. Pour into a classic Pinot Noir glass, designed to concentrate the aromas and direct the wine to the right part of your palate for maximum enjoyment. This wine shines when paired with dishes that echo its subtle complexity. Consider serving it alongside roasted duck, grilled salmon, or a creamy mushroom risotto. Its versatility also extends to lighter fare, complementing a charcuterie board that includes mild cheeses and cured meats. While delightful now, this Pinot Noir has the potential to evolve gracefully over the next few years if you choose to cellar it.
