Description
Peche Mel Scaldis is an 8.5% ABV Belgian fruit beer from Dubuisson Brewery in Wallonia, Belgium, brewed with a ripe peach character. At 16 IBU the bitterness is mild, so the peach aroma and a smooth, full-bodied malt base come through. Serve it slightly chilled, between 45 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit, in a tulip glass to bring out the aroma and the bubbles. Its fruity sweetness and subtle acidity pair well with roasted chicken or duck à l'orange, and with creamy cheeses such as Brie or Camembert. Goes down pretty easy for 8.5%. Sweet peach up front, little sharp aftertaste though. Had it cold watching the Sox game and got through one bottle but reached for a pilsner next.
