Description
Oxbow Oxtoberfest is a seasonal farmhouse-style beer from Oxbow in Maine, at 5.5% ABV. It is malt-forward and smooth, with no bitterness to speak of, which makes it an easy beer for the turn from summer to fall. Serve it cool but not cold, around 45 to 50°F, in a pint glass. It goes with roasted pork or chicken, aged cheeses and spicier dishes, where the malt softens the heat. Good farmhouse take on oktoberfest
Shared a few cans by the fire pit last weekend. Crisp, not heavy, solid fall beer but maybe a little lighter than expected for an oktoberfest.
